Dalton & cALLAGHAN
« on: Saturday 05 September 09 19:37 BST (UK) »
Hit a Brick wall

Catherine Callaghan born (1815) married Oliver William John Dalton  in Ireland, I presume must be around 1832 as their first child was born in 1833.  Their first 2 children were born in Ireland  - Margaret around 1833 and Bernard around 1837 (because of the gap, there could have possibly been more children in between those years.) Any information on Oliver and Catherines Marriaage would be great.

Unfortunately civil registration of marriages didn't start until 1864 (Catholic marriages) or 1845 (all other marriages) so you'd need to search for church records (if they exist) but need to know both their religion and where they lived in Co. Antrim.
Away sorting out DNA matches... I may be gone for some time many years!
