Can anyone help with further info. on ancestor of my husband - ALEXANDER MATHESON b.c.1791 Resolis, Ross County, d. 1857 Urray (think this is his death) m. Hyma (Hayme) MATHESON, b. c. 1791,Kyle, Lochalsh died before 1851Census. Can't find her birth anywhere or date of marriage, or death.
In 1841 Census Lochalsh - Hayme (50 yrs) with son Dugald (15 yrs.).
Three children: John Matheson b.c.1821 (no more info.), Murdock Matheson b.c.1826 (no more info.), and Dugald (Dougal) Matheson, b. 1826, d. c. 1899 Inverness; M. Mary Finlayson, b. Jan.1829 Achmore, Lochalsh.
Dugald & Mary Matheson had 6 children - Martha, Dinah, Mary, Duncan ('Sandy'), Ann, William (Willie); have details of most, apart from Donick (Dinah) (known as 'Ina'). (b.1859 Resolis, 1871 Census Resolis: 12 yrs. unm., can't find in 1881 Census or anything further) and Mary (b. 15 Feb. 1860, Resolis;1881 Census Lochalsh: 19 yrs. unm. nothing further)
