Are James and Mary Manning in Devon in 1841 ??
« on: Friday 04 March 05 19:04 GMT (UK) »
Hoping someone can help me out with a 1841 search for Devon...Looking for John and Mary Manning possibly in Devon..They married (according to the IGI) in  Exeter in 1791.
sometime between 1792 and 1801 the family moved to Guernsey in the Channel Islands. There they had 4 known children.
I have traced my own  3x GtGrandfather James Manning (son of the above) from Guernsey to Cheshire. Had lots of help and info from the Priaulx Library in Guernsey..but    neither John or Mary Manning are on the 1841 census there, nor are they buried there...So could they have returned to Devon ??

Anyone with any info however small..much appreciated..
