BACK TO UK 1750
« on: Wednesday 09 September 09 11:25 BST (UK) »
Hi everyone,
I wonder if anyone could help me please.  There are plenty of records listing families moving from Ireland to the USA etc. during the 1700's but are there any lists of Irish people, whether originally Palatine or anyone, who returned to the UK instead of going further afield.  I'm trying to trace a Charles Embury and wife Sophia (probably born around 1770) who ended up in London around 1800 but can't find their origin.
Thanks a lot,
Val White

as Ireland was part of the Uk then there are no records of moving to Uk from Ireland.
it would be like moving from Wales to England
Holman & Vinton- Cornwall, Wojciechowskyj & Hussak- Bukowiec & Zahutyn, Bentley & Richards- Leicester, Taylor-Kent/Sussex  Punnett-Sussex,  Bear/e- Monkleigh Gazey-Warwicks

Thanks Toni, that of course makes sense - I wasn't sure when Southern Ireland broke away.
