mis spelt name
John Haydock married Mary Hinshaw not  Hinshan  Thomas Haydock B. 1847 in Lowertown Bernagh
Co. Tyrone  N. Ireland. he was a house repairer (builder ) I belive the father of John was John  of
Stangmore  Dungannon Co. Tyrone...

The  Haydock family's from Thomas Born 1847 Tyrone were Church of Ireland & Presbyterians...
And  From Belfast & Bundaberg Qld ...

Re Thomas Haydock 1901 census Vistula Street Age 52 Head of family.
                              1911 Census they were living in Danube age 64 Head of Family Occupation Labourer./ house repairer born Co.Tyrone and C.of I.Born 1847 Lowertown Bernagh Co.Tyrone
 
 N. Ireland some familys became Free Presbyterians.

That's the family I posted about in reply #6. Are you saying that is the correct Thomas Haydock?

The closest marriage I can find is the following one in 1873 in St. Anne's Church of Ireland, Belfast, between  Thomas Haddock and Margaret Major, the father of the 25 year old groom is shown as William James Haddock:

The closest marriage I can find is the following one in 1873 in St. Anne's Church of Ireland, Belfast, between  Thomas Haddock and Margaret Major, the father of the 25 year old groom is shown as William James Haddock:

The following 1880 birth of a son William James to Thomas Haddock and Margaret Major is a reasonable match for William James 'Haydock' in the 1901 Ireland Census return for house #36 in Vistula Street, so looking like the right folk:

Edited to add:  So it looks as if we have a bit of loose naming with Haddock / Haydock and Major / Majury, par for the course.
