Hi Joanne

I dont know if it would be of interest to you but I just ran a seach for your relative through Ancestry.co.uk to see if it had any hits.. I think its free to register for two weeks aswell?

Anyhow Elijah Moss came back with a family tree -

      Bailey_2009-07-11
      Owner: SusanAleman51

http://trees.ancestry.co.uk/tree/11987688/person/-239984938?ssrc=

and looks as if somewhere along, the tree decendant moved to America, I only include these details as I always enjoy seeing where my family tree takes a turn, and you never know these people may have photo's or stories if you are infact related?

Regards
Matt Ellis

Post me your email address and I'll send the tree owner a message asking to get in touch... oh and looking at the tree now its appears its one of Elijahs daughters - Adelaide Mary Moss that your related to.

I'm off out now so there will be a delay in any responces.

If only I had luck like this seaching for my own family members...

Kind regards
Matt Ellis

Would someone be able to post link to the online Warley burial register at the ERO please, I can't seem to find it and would love to see if my GGG Grandfather James Hurst is on it, James died 1901 at the Essex County Asylum but unable to find where he was buried so far.

You can view the register for free by going to the SEAX catalogue of the ERO.
https://www.essexarchivesonline.co.uk/Default.aspx

First register.

Top right-hand box labelled Document Reference. Type>>> Q/ALc12/3
Elijah appears on Image 71 of 106

For other registers, in the search box type>>>  warley asylum register
Then choose the register you wish to view.
I cannot find one for James in 1901, but try yourself

The burial ground has not been built on it is now just an area of grass and trees. See this side by side map view.
