I feel a really stupid having to ask this question but I am a new subscriber to Ancestry and cannot find the way to access census details by using the reference numbers - i.e.
number/piece/folio/page etc..

Can anybody help an idiot please?

hi Sue, on the main search frame, find and click on 'Show Advanced options' ...... should be at the foot of the search box ...

 :)
