Childs Charles, Rushden, Northants 1855

I have a copy birth certificate for Charles Childs, illegitimate son of Maria Childs of Rushden Northants, born 29th April 1855. I will post it without charge to any family member who contacts me.

hi im reseaching the childs family of rushden and raunds,i would be interested in the cert,but as yet i dont have them in my tree.its my mother in laws family.so there is probably some connection.

Hi Karen,

I am not certain but I think Maria may be the sister of my Gt-Gt-Gt-grandma Jane Childs.

I have Maria living with HER grandma Ellen and Marias son Charles on a cencus result.
Living next door are Jane, with their parents Henry & Mary, various family members, plus Janes illigitimate son Henry - my gr-grandad.

The reason I am not certain is that the dates are slightly out - but given this family are always 'out' on certs & Cencus's that wouldnt surprise me!

The family I have lived in Norfok, right on the border, but Jane registered Henry in a different area than the family lived, so I wouldnt be surprised if Maria also did the same.

hi thanks for your reply,the childs family i am reseaching came from rushden and surrounding villages,i dont know if there is any connection?do you know by any chance?i cant find any connection with norfolk at present.
