Complete - Ethel Ann Stevenson - 1901
« on: Saturday 12 September 09 17:03 BST (UK) »
Hello Rootschatters,

I'm trying to find Ethel Ann Stevenson in 1901.

I have the family at Spring Terrace/Spring Cottages, Nutall - father Emmanuel, mother Mary, in 1871, 81 and 91, with Ethel first appearing in 1891, born 1882.

I have placed everyone in 1901 except Ethel. She re-appears in 1904 marrying Arthur Young over the border @ Kegworth but I can't find where she is in 1901.

I've tried all the variations I can think of for the name Stevenson (one sister was mis-transcribed as Stenerson) If anyone can spot her I'd be most grateful.

Regards B

Shes at RG13/3165 Folio 135 Page 34 as Ethel "Stewason", born "Nuttal", a housemaid. Do you need a transcription?

Wow! that was fast!!

Thanks very much Cat, how did you find that so quickly?

Looking at the page it seems to be written as Stenasan or Stevasan, but its probably her.

Thanks for such super fast service  ;D

No problem  :) I usually type only part of the surname - ie; "Ste*" because surnames are so often mispelt! You could also try just typing in the first name/part of it, yob +/- 2 yrs and place of birth - ie; "Nut*"

Good Luck with future searches
