I have a Jeff (surname) connection that originated in Ludlow, Shropshire.  Think there might be a connection? (am not sure if S. is considered West Midlands).

There are a couple of rootschatters with Jelf in their trees. Click on the "surnames" in the middle of the bar at the top of the page. Neither person is a regular here (one hasn't been on rootschat since 2007) but it might still be worthwhile trying to contact them.

Thanks,i will give it a try.Jelfs is not a very well known surname,nor i do not think is Jacom,which both surnames were on my nans side.She was a Jacom(without the B,on her birth certificate) before marriage,and her mom was a Jelfs before marriage.
