    Iam looking for info on a Andrew Rutherford born 1901 in Annan son of Agnes Hetherington DOB 1859 d1940 and Joseph Rutherford DOB 1842 d 1906

Do you want to go forward and find a possible marriage/children or do you want to find out about his parents and other ancestors/siblings?

       I want to go forward if possible, i have his and my grandmothers line back to 1754 only with him he must have been born after the 1901 census was taken because he is not on it with the family and the 1911 census for Scotland is not available yet like it is for England
   I was just hopeing someone might have him in there tree maybe as a grandparent like his sister is mine

Nothing more on the tree on Andrew apart from what's on the birth cert

I've looked for marriages and deaths in E&W and on SP for him  but don't see a good match 

I wonder if he emigrated.

Ancestry also has some immigration records and Find My Past has Passenge Lists leaving UK 1890-1960

The problem is knowing where he might possibly have gone.

    sorry only just come back online i have access to Ancestry but most of my reseach i have used Scotlandspeople i have never used cyndilist .I suppose the most obvious place to start would be the nearest port to Annan which i suspect would be Glasgow

   Just tried cyndilist for Andrew from Glasgow no luck i will just have to try Scotlandspeople for a marriag cert the only problem with that is Andrew Rutherford is a common name also not knowing who he married does not help iso it will be knowing which is the right one, if that doesnt find him i suppose i will just have to wait and see if he pops up he must belong to someone other than me
