on agnes/kerr rutherfords death cert her son in law thomas rogerson is witness so her son may not be around  1940  her parents are mathew hetherington/janet graham  a lot of this family are born england although i think janet is born gretna same as myself  csc

    yes i knew all of that Ellen/Nellie seem,s to have taken on the Rutherford name maybe because she was only1 when Agnes married Joseph or maybe he was her father but her birth record states
Ellen Hetherington or Kerr illegitamat born 9/4/1891 mother widow of William Kerr cabentmaker died 12/12/1895 mother Agner Kerr her x mark so Agnes must have still had been on her own at this time as she is still going under the Kerr name
   Just an after thought she must not have been able to write
       Matthew did come from England Cumberland his wife Janet from Gretna they came to Scotland between 51 and 61
