1851 Census - Ontario
« on: Wednesday 16 September 09 09:03 BST (UK) »
May I ask please for information on the 1851 census:
Janet Stuart, born c1796 in Scotland, living in Ontario County, Canada West.

I am wondering if there are other family members with Janet and what information might be provided, please?

I have Stuart ancestors, but have not heard of Janet.  I am wondering if she might be related.  Thank you.

I know about the census in the 1900's (on AutomatedGenealogy); I never think of the 1851.  Thank you, Karen.  ;D

LAC has the original census as well, but it's not indexed, but if you know the area you are looking for that helps narrow it down.
