Hello Celia,

I lived at number 15 Hough Green, Chester at one time. The houses along this road are much the same as when they were built. They are all substantial Victorian, or Edwardian, houses in good sized grounds.

Due to their large size, some have been converted to hotels, one is a Youth Hostel. A few have been split up in flats.

Jo

Are you sure it is not Hough Green? In the 1914 Directory there is a Thomas Shandon Hignett in Hough Green, now the A5104. There is no number for his house but it is on the south side before number 13.

Thank you for contacting me I only found my gradads sister Florence recently, due to a new website this year. She was missing from a census.Presumably married,Stan found her for me.As far as i can make out the family lived in number 11
for 10 years. So would the house with no number be 11 or did it end up under the motorway :-\ Or is it still there :-\
