TOPIC CLOSED - THANK YOU Would somebody do me a photo of a grave.....
« on: Thursday 17 September 09 17:16 BST (UK) »
Is there any kind soul out there with a digital camera and time to spare to take a photo of a gravestone for me, please?  I am unable to get there myself.

I have just discovered that my grandfather is buried in Willesden Cemetery.

I have the details of where the grave is situated, which I will pass on if anyone offers to do this for me.

Thanks in advance.

Before you send someone off on a wild goose chase I would recommend you contact the cemetary offce to make sure that there is a Gravestone/marker there.

I excitedly traipsed all across (Sth to Nth no easy task!!) London with my trusty camera, some years ago to visit my g/gran's grave only to find that there was no gravestone & never had been.

Many people could only just about pay for the burial (even with limited insurance payouts) let alone for a gravestone.   Also to confirm that the plot number you have is right and also not a Public Grave.

Thank you so much for your advice.

I wouldn't have made the request without having already checked my facts.

I am cancelling my request as I now have photos (received today).
