I was just wondering if you were able tofind anything else in your search. If you hadnt already checked hes listed on the medal card index. If you wanted to focus further on your man heres where i started. Ive been doing a bit of research myself and thought Id have a look for you. This is what I found

Here

The card may hold some more info on his unit etc.

cheers

it costs £3.50 but its well worh it [sometimes!]. It can tell you when he left the country where he went his unit [specifics] obviously his medals [which can link onto further research and finally and most importantly his personal number which is essential to delve any deeper into his military history.

hope this helps

Will

Forgive me for being thick - but do I need to order both the J W Tymon's records (i.e. the top two on the link) or have you determined which is the one I want?

Hmm sorry i wouldnt be able to say. I dont want to send you in the wrong direction as my guess is as good as yours. I would buy both and try and disprove one. for example if they are dated or hopefully have unit info.

Hope this helps a little.
