Royal Canadian Mounted Police query
« on: Saturday 19 September 09 21:37 BST (UK) »
I am attempting to track a potential relative.  I don't have much information but hope someone can point me in the right direction(s).

All I have is the following:

Name:  H. Schultz
Rank:  Subconstable
Regimental #145
Engaged: 3.2.79  (This may be March 2 1879 or February 3 1879).
Division A

I have found that Division A was the 1st division enacted as the RCMP in 1874.  I was hoping to find a muster roll or something similar so I could get a first name and possibly more info.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Kira Sue.

HI Kira Sue

found this website

http://www.rcmpgraves.com/database/search.html

and providing your H Schultz stayed and passed away while still in the RCMP then there was 1 man that they have on the site and his name is

Herman Schultz I found him in the Canadian 1881 census listed as a Constable for his occupation

You can check out the Free to view 1881 census at the Family search IGI website Just enter the following

Herman Schultz bn 1847 in Germany living in Northern Terrotories Edmonton

Its the nearest I can get anyway

Hi Kira Sue

If Herman is indeed your man there is a 47 page copy of his Service Career on the following website

Link shrunk as it was distorting thread.
