I think I am correct here but there are several families of KERRANE around the Castlerea area with many variations of spelling.

1901 census at LINK
At house 10 in Ballyglass East (Loughglynn, Roscommon) as KERRANE

1911 census at LINK
At house 10 in Ballyglass East (Loughglynn, Roscommon) as KIRRANE

Patrick KERRANE m Catherine DEIGNAN/DUIGNAN/DIGNAN on Feb 11 1894 LINK
They had at least six children:
1895 Patrick LINK
1897 Thomas LINK
who married Delia CAULFIELD Mar 13 1933in Kilkelly, Co. Mayo LINK
1899 Jerome LINK
1901 Martin LINK - possibly your grandfather
C1903 James
1908 Michael  LINK

Catherine KIRRANE died 1926 aged 58 LINK
Patrick KIRRANE died 1946 aged 83 LINK

Both Thomas and Martin were Plasterers

The original post here for Patrick Joseph KERRANE is a different family I think!
