COMPLETED: 1841 Census lookup request: KENDALL in Whitechapel
« on: Thursday 24 September 09 14:03 BST (UK) »
I no longer have access to the census and wonder if anyone with access to the 1841 census would look up the following family for me, please?

Whitechapel, Tower Hamlets
James KENDALL about 1800?
Elizabeth KENDALL about 1800?
John 1829
Sarah Harriet 1831
James (or William) 1833
Emma 1838

Thank you in advance.

This may be your family, but took a bit of finding - indexed as "Wendall", but looking at the page, it does look like Kendall to me....

It's HO107/716/Book 11 Folio 44, Page 9

Living at Gowers Row, East Side, St Mary, Whitechapel.

James Wendall (could definitely be Kendall)  35  Tin Plate Worker   Not b in county
Samuel                        15      Tobacco ??? looks like "shuffler"
John                             12                                                             Born in county
Charles                          6                                                                      "
Elizabeth                       35                                                                     "
Emma                             2                                                                      "

Hope it's them....

Thank you very much for the lookup, Yorkslass!  Sorry that it wasn't such a straitforward one - I'd never have looked for Wendall!  Still not sure they're mine, unfortunately.  I think I'll need to do some forward research to rule them out or in.
Thanks again!
