Hi, this is something of a stab in the dark but I'm stuck so here goes, l have traced my Salisbury line back to John Salisbury who married Mary Linge in Barrow on 29th September 1625, they baptise 9 children that l am aware of, all in Barrow, John died in 1670 and his wife Mary in 1658, unfortunately l have been unsuccessful in locating a baptism record for either John Snr or his wife Mary, l have searched the Barrow Pr's as well as neighboring boroughs with no sign of either of them? l have located several Salisbury wills around this time but l have found nothing conclusive contained in them, the name john does appear in a will of 1626 but seeing as John is a very common name it is inconclusive, John may never of even made a will as l have found John Snr on hearth tax returns and he is listed as a pauper!................sorry I'm going on, one more thing the name Clement is prevalent in this family going right up to the 1860's.
