Dee,

Well done.

What a great find very well documented and certainly answers all the questions and it seems GEORGE was the brother who struck it lucky and returned to the UK then back to AUs with a wife.

great work

regards

Robyn

Thanks, Robyn.

The person concerned has certainly put a lot of effort and care into publishing that tree.

Hello all on my message board, especially Dee, I am overwelmed by the responce I have had since putting my request to people only yesterday, I am in shock at what has come back, it is far far more than I expected.

From the bottom of my heart, I would like to thank each & every one of you for your help, I deeply appreciate all you have done, not forgetting Cancan who set me off on the right direction from the start.

Well, I'm going to let my emotions settle down before I sit down & have a real good read of all the information there is, then maybe make some contact with distant relatives.

Thank you all again,  Spatts.

Hi everyone, havn't made contact as yet with the living relatives in Australia, just wanted to check a couple of things first. Could someone do a census check for me, I have them here but, can't find George on the 1841 or 1851, have the others & all dates coinside.

Also looking for any info on William's father Anthony Walker, have no dates, birth or death.
Have been told by my mother there is another family ring but it is buried with my Grt Gran, Lily Ann Walker (nee Andrew, hence my first name) in Droylsden Cemetary, her name isn't on the stone, only her sisters name, Elizabeth Nightingale, going to rectify that asap.
Hope you can help, thank you Spatts.

Does that help, Spatts, or do you need details?
The details are all given on the http://www.walkernet.info/265.html
website under William Walker, the father.

And George had departed England in 1851 before that Census was taken.

Hi Dee,

Hope you are well.

I did make contact with Colleen who owns the site Walkernet & her William Walker comes from Bourne, Thomas also from Bourne, Lincs & George too but, George is not a brother. George did come back in 1855 I think & went back to Aus in 1856 with his new bride, his brother John & wife.

I have printed out all of the Walkernet family tree & even found William & Thomas on the Shipslist, both aged 26 but Colleen thinks it a error. George is on the same ship Catherine 1851 listed amongst the single men. I looked & printed out all the Shipslist from about 1848 to 1859.

It has been a very hard task tracing my tree & trying to find a connection, if any with Colleen's family, still searching.

Regards,

Spatts.
