Hi Diane, thanks for the info - it ties in with some of mine which is great! Actually I have seen your pictures as I found your tree a couple of weeks ago - maybe that's where I picked up the name Lapwell, but couldn't find any more about her.
Is your Thomas the same one who's parents were Edward & Sarah, making Thomas my Rosina's brother?

I was just about to start looking at the Rainsford boys to see if Florence was Rainsford by marriage and not birth, you may have just saved me some searching!!

Hi,

Yes we have the same Thomas, brother of Rosina. I cannot recall meeting him but I would have been to young to remember however I often met Florence, his wife, and as you have probably seen she lived to the grand old age of 102. Her party piece every birthday, right up to her last, was to stand up and touch her toes!

Thomas was my paternal great grandfather. He and Florence went onto to have 5 children of their own, including a Thomas and Florence.

I would love to know more about Rosina if you would like to let me know anything, particularly any photos you might have. Two of Thomas' grandchildren are still with us, one being my own Dad, and I know he would be thrilled to hear more.

What a revelation - what does that make us then - 2nd cousins 5 times removed? lol! 
Good old Florence, what a girl!!

Rosina was my paternal great grandmother but as she died in 1946 I never met her. She is the one person in the family who interests me most, I don't know why. My nan (her daughter) also died a few years ago, and my dad knows very little of the family, but my aunt might know more, and I know there are a couple of photos of her but I don't know who has them. I will phone my aunt soon and pick her brains!!
