I'd appreciate anyone visiting Gorton Cemetery to locate the following individuals:

John Holt (husband)
B: 1878 Clayton Droylsden, Lancashire, England
D: possibly Apr 1920 Gorton, Lancashire, England

Martha Ann Holt (wife - maiden name Unwin)
B: 1883 Gorton, Lancashire, , England
D: possibly 1942 Gorton, Lancashire, , England

Any of John's brothers:
George Holt (b.1883-)
William Holt (b.1890-)
Robert Holt (b.1894-)
Arthur Holt (b.1896-)

Or his children:
Sarah Ann Holt (b.1903) in Gorton, Lancashire, England who married a William Eric Stanley and is definitely buried there.
Robert (b.1904) in Gorton, Manchester, Lancashire, England he never married and again is buried there.

Harold Holt (b.1916) in Chorlton, Lancashire

I have no chance of visiting Gorton and know all of the family lived and died in the area...

Thanks
 ;)

You may also get more help if you started your own thread  asking for any one to look them up for you.
Gorton cemetery is a large cemetery , just to be going round trying to find grave without further details. That is if they are there, you don't say that they are 100%.
Also Holt is a very common name around that area of Manchester too.

Hi Davidjnr,

I can only see to George Holt's buried at Gorton and they were early 1900's. Have you got the right cemetery. When did George die?

I have no idea when any of them died and was hoping for a family plot.

Good luck with your search, if you haven't even got a death for them?

I am in NZ and come from Manchester and Henry Hakesley is my g grandfather and Robert is his son. He had 3 daughters that we know of. Anna Owen from Llanelly in Wales was Henry's 1st wife. We know that some of the family went to Canada, Australia and we came to NZ. Is this helpful?

Hannah Owen was born in Manchester and her parents John and Margaret Rafferty were Irish immigrants. There unfortunatley is no family plot as the family were classed as poor. Henry and Hannah Owen had four girl, my grandmother Leah being the youngest. When Hannah died of TB, Henry went on to marry again and had two boys Henry and Robert. Can I ask who you are descended from and what specific information you are lookin.g for. I more than happy to supply anything I have
