Hi Alan,

Yes - that is my line.  I am directly descended from William and Catherine/Christian.  I have managed to amass most of the info from the date of their marriage onwards - it was always William's parents that I had trouble confirming.  I am led to believe that pre-1800 Castleton records are 'patchy' :)

Confusion concerning too many contemporaries named William Elliot.
William Elliot born 3 July 1812 did NOT marry Christian/ Catherine Crozier but William Elliot born 6 Aug. 1811 DID marry Christian/Catherine.
