Anyone help with any further info. re my husband's ancestors:
Torquil McLeod, b.c. 1774 Hallaig, Isle of Raasay.  m. Christina McLennan (x Wester Ross?) - no further info on either.
Two known children: Anne McLeod b. 20 Sept., 1802 Hallaig (no further info.) and Malcolm McL. b. 8 April 1804, Hallaig. d. sometime between 1841 and 1851 Census.
Malcolm m.  Christian (Christy) McLennan (from Wester Ross?) - five known children Murdoch, Anne, Mary, John and Malcolm.  Ruth MacLeod in Australia

I imagine you know Sorley Maclean's poem "Hallaig"? I think it relates to viewing  the ruins of the houses of the departed inhabitants........Skoosh.

Thanks yes, I have a copy of the lovely poem.  Ruth
