1960s UK arrivals in Victoria
« on: Saturday 10 October 09 17:13 BST (UK) »

My aunt and uncle emigrated sometime in 1960s and settled in Victoria.

Would I be able to find them on any on-line records?   Aunt died in 2004, my uncle some years earlier.

Hi Nanny Jan.  :)

You may be lucky enough to find reference to them here. If so, you can request a lookup on the site.

Thanks for the link Dee but no luck.

Their names are Lilian Alice Florence (1908-2204) and Ernest Abrahams (bc 1908-1986).  I have been told that Lilian moved to Berrigan, NSW; I guess after Ernest's death.

I think they arrived in Australia in 1967/68.

Nanny, their migration record is listed here......
http://www.naa.gov.au/

You need to go to RecordSearch and then choose to search as a guest. Just enter Abrahams Ernest and you'll find it.

Sorry Nanny....not your lot after all. I think I was seeing it cross eyed!    :-[  :-[
