« on: Sunday 11 October 09 18:24 BST (UK) »
Just wondering can does anyone know if some members of the Tutty Family were buried in the Old Kilbride Cemetry. I have tried looking in there but it is very run down and hard to check the headstones

Hi...Hope this might be of help to you.

In Templerainy Graveyard, Arklow, there are the following Headstone inscriptions:

1.   Rebecca Jane Tutty wife of William Tutty, Templerainy died 24 November 1909 aged 65. Also her son Albert Clements died 16 September 1883 aged 7 also William died 1884.

2.   Erected by William Tutty in memory of his mother Mary Tutty died 20 May 1832 aged 40. His Aunt Sibella O'Neill died 4 January 1863 aged 50. Also 2 sons...Arthur O'Neill died 1853 aged 2....William O'Neill died 1854 aged 1. Also John O'Neill died 20 January 1878 aged 80. Also Charles Tutty, son of above, died 22 October 1881 aged 18 Months. William Tutty died 20 December 1911 aged 82 and his son Edward died  27 January 1941 aged 74.
I have checked Cantwell's Memorials of the Dead...and there are no references to Tutty burials in Kilbride.
If you wish, you can also check for Tutty's alive in the general area in the 1911 census at
www.census.nationalarchives.ie

Hope this may be of help
Regards,
Tom.
