gold mines
« on: Monday 07 March 05 20:33 GMT (UK) »
Hi
I had an ancestor who left England  in the 1890s to go and work in the gold mines in South Africa he returned about 1900 and I would like to know if there are any passenger lists available that might tell me what year he travelled.
regards

Hi there apologies for the delay.
unfortunately the ship lists are few and far between - try searching the South african mailing list archives or the ship lists on Genealogy.net. What was your ancestors name - perhaps i can have a dig for you.
