William ELLOT (or ELLET) in Axmouth

Fellow listers

I am continuing with some research into the ELLET (ELLETT, ELLOT, ELLOTT - even ELLIOTT) family from Chardstock in Dorset (see my earlier thread at: http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php/topic,404810.msg2732919.html#msg2732919).

I believe that one of the family - William ELLOT - may have moved to Axmouth and married Mary MATTHEWS there in 1810.  From the IGI it looks as if they had at least three children: William ELLOT (bap 1810); James Matthews ELLOT (bap 1812) and Elizabeth Jenkins ELLOT (bap 1815). Of course there may have been others as well.

Can anyone help me with finding this couple in 1841 or - better still - in 1851?  William was born about 1784, so would have been around 60 at the time of the 1841 census and 70 (or slightly less) at the time of the 1851 Census.

I would really appreciate help with finding this branch of the family , so any assistance would be very welcome.

Kind regards

Phil Candy
