Guernsey Marraige
« on: Monday 12 October 09 06:24 BST (UK) »
Morning folks. Hopefully somebody can tell me how to obtain a Guernsey Marriage Certificate for Amelia Boot and Percival Pearce Dunman. Do they have the same type of thing as the UK mainland BMD free lookup and ordering service???? If so then I haven't found it yet.
Although I do not possess it, I know that a notice was entered on March 10th 1853, and the certificate given on April 6th 1853. Amelia was resident in Guernsey for more than a month (to enable them to marry there?). After the marraige I believe they moved back to the Mainland.
Any help welcome. Thanks - Beans

Boot - London/Middlesex pre 1780
Dickens/Dickins - Stewkley
Fox - Souldern
Butler - Pembroke Dock

Hi, you can obtain copies from the Greffe Office in Guernsey. We have no online website for Greffe matters
