Hi Pammy

The 1873 marriage register digitised image for the couple, in Polmont, just outside Edinburgh, available for a few bawbees at www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk does indeed show the bride as Whilminnie, most probable full name Whilminnie R ALLAN !

But remember that this index entry is based on the registrar's transcription of how the bride signed her name on the marriage schedule.

In other words I'd suspect that the registrar in question, J G GLEN, was having a 'bad day', and mistranscribed Williamina !
