CAME Family, revenue cruizer Vittoria
« on: Sunday 18 October 09 17:51 BST (UK) »
Does anyone know anything about a Lieut Henry Came, buried Golant, Cornwall
b about 1776 or 86 (MI and burial record differ), d 23.11.1838, mar to Ann who probably died 1841-51.
I have reason to believe he is a relative but can't establish the link

Alternatively any information on the revenue cruizer he commanded would be great - the Vittoria

Hi,

National Archives have some documents published and not published about Revenue Cruisers - Coastguard,  also states service records available, giving details about himself, married, age, abode etc.   There is also a will for Lt Henry Came, to download on documetns online. Dates fit.

Cannot show on Rootschat due to Copyright, but go to National Archives website and go to A-Z  of guides, type in Revenue Cruisers, and it will bring it up.

Good Luck!!

Cancan :)
