Thank you shellyesq. I do have Margaret's birth and death so have her parents' names. I don't know what became of her father William after 1848 as he can't be found. Would love to know the parents of William.
As for John Crawford, I can't sort out the relationship, other than it says cousin to Margaret in 1910 and 1925 in Yonkers. Would like to know how he is a cousin.

Hello Sandra, I have a thought about John Crawford which could be totally wrong. Wonder if he was born John Crawford Smith, Aug 2, 1855 and later dropped the Smith part.

Using the 1856 birth year, here were a couple on Scotlands people.  Of course if he was born earlier we might not find anything for him.

Caldwell was used as a middle name - could be a possible ?? (Where did Caldwell come from?)

Caldwell was the middle name for John Caldwell Johnston who married Mary Barbour. She died in Yonkers in 1915 but he died in Montclair New Jersey in 1938.

Those are just a few thought of john Crawford's with middle names "C" to check.

Apart from your John Caldwell Johnston we looked for on the other thread, what other link, if any does the Caldwell link have to the Johnston family. Does it pop up anywhere else ?
