« on: Tuesday 20 October 09 21:57 BST (UK) »
hi all, does anybody here have any info on the o'grady family, living in gortamullin, kenmare. the family is listed in the 1911 census, i've just found out.
My mother, margaret, moved away to london in the late 50's and her parents passed away soon after. i believe the family moved away after. i have been to the area a few years back, spoke to a few people to no avail, just wondered if anyone on here could help, thanks
paul

There are still O'Gradys living in the Kenmare area, but not in Gortamullen.
James Grady, born 1879, married Mary Moriarty, who was my grand-aunt. Their son, Michael is still living in Kenmare, aged 90 and has family there too. Another son, Jerome, has family still living in the area. Two daughters, Maria and Josie have families living in the Kilgarvan area.
