10 cecil square, margate 1901

hi, does anybody know what this would of been, on the census it has girls on it ranging from7 to 14, and a matron as head all the girls are marked as visitors.

Hi
Cecil Square is just to be seen at the top of the 25 inch map
Co Kent ( Eastern Div.) Sheet XXV.5 of 1874. On this sheet , near Cecil Sq. is to be seen " Home for Motherless Children". The sheet above Sheet XXV.5 will show more of Cecil Sq and perhaps something like " Home for Motherless Children".

I found this .......

"One Home that accepted the very poor was the Ragged Schools Union Cripple Holiday Home at 10 Cecil Square, Margate. The home was a branch of the Shaftesbury Society"
