martin dempsey was born in 1814 his death certificate states he died 2nd June 1887 in ardnaree co sligo - he was a farmer and his son edward was present at his death - I think his wife was elizabeth and he also had a daughter anne, elizabeth, a son martin and possibly a son patrick - does anyone have any info re the above or connection - THANK YOU

My ggGRandfather was Patrick Dempsey from Sligo/Mayo (not sure when counties split).  He married an Ellen Henry.  Any links?

not sure if we have a connection as yet - my martin dempsey was born in ireland and then came to the uk with edward dempsey and patrick dempsey - they ran a marine store in gateshead my patrick dempsey wifes name was bridget it could have been his second wife

i will let you know if i find a connection and vice versa with you
