Thomas KING - 1848 Dungannon
« on: Wednesday 28 October 09 22:33 GMT (UK) »
Hello I am looking for information on my great great grandfather Thomas KING. He lived in Newcastle-Upon-Tyne with his wife Catherine KING (maiden name unknown). I'm not sure exactly where in Ireland he was born, but I've heard the family is from Dungannon, and he was born in 1848. He had a son named Michael Leo King, born in Newcastle if that helps!

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

You've posted the same message on Cork board-

There's also a Dungannon in Tyrone but rather than duplicate posts do you have any idea what county the King family came from?

As you probably already know by now, civil registration of births, deaths and Catholic marriages in Ireland began 1864 (from 1845 for other marriages) so you'll need to search for church records (of they exist) to find family information.
