Can anyone tell me where Lyncombe and Widcombe is?
« on: Wednesday 09 March 05 19:10 GMT (UK) »

I'm finding part of the family are in this Sub-District of Bath.  I can't find either on a modern map, presumably as they were 'area names' rather than actual places.

Can anybody tell me where they covered re: Bath please?  Are we talking N, S, E or West.  In Bath, or in the outlying areas.  Any information would be gratefully received.

Regards

KA

Hi KA,

You should download PARLOC.
It's free software available on the web that gives you all the parishes of England, Scotland & Wales.
It is able to tell you the distances between any parishs' you select or plot locations.

I just cant recall the website but if you google the word PARLOC it will be there.
I've been using it for a few years and have found it very helpful at times.

Cheers
Geoff
