COMPLETED - Burial lookup please - BOWMAN
« on: Saturday 31 October 09 03:15 GMT (UK) »
I was wondering if I could make one more lookup request to this board - I feel like I'm constantly turning to you wonderful people on here to help me!  ;D

I am looking for a burial of George BOWMAN. He should have died in the 1820s/30s, and was probably buried at either Wellow or Mansfield. His wife was Mary, whom I am also looking for a burial. Both were born around 1750. Sorry I'm not too sure of the place, I know that they lived at Wellow most of their life but they may have gone to Mansfield or elsewhere later on.

Thanks,
Alexander

Hello Alexander,

These are the only burials for Bowman in Wellow……

Burials at Wellow – abode Wellow

SARAH BOWMAN – 11th September 1825, infant
MARY BOWMAN – 29th October 1826, aged 72, Wife of George.
GEORGE BOWMAN – 22nd April 1830, aged 78.

Did you get notification of a reply to your post re Christopher Cook?

The Crematoria office have the records for Mansfield cemetery but they are not open to searches from the general public hence you having to request them to search on your behalf; they are usually very helpful.
With a bit of luck they may supply the information via email…. :)

Regards
Sheila.

Many thanks Sheila for those burials. They help confirm that I have the right family because of the ages.

No, I didn't get an email to say I'd had a response to my other post - so I didn't see it. I'm sorry I didn't reply to that one. I will now.   ;)

Thanks,
Alexander
