do you know where Bridge stret, Lincoln was in about 1900,

I feel it may have been near where Pelham bridge is now  ???

I'm afraid your female intuition failed you on this occasion  :P

It was a short street, the last one before the railway, running due north from the riverside.  If it had been a through street, it would have gone through to Claremont St ... but it stopped short of Cannon St.

If you go to http://www.old-maps.co.uk/IndexMapPage2.aspx and look for Lincoln, you will see the position (but not the name) of the street.  The 1907 map shows it clearly ... it must have got its name from the railway bridge.

I had looked at my 1907 map, and not seen it  ??? and its marked  ::)

I have just been talking to my Great Aunt,and she said" off shoots of this family ran a pub down there for years, "   maybe they liked the area so much  :)

I should have guess correctly had I know a pub was involved somewhere  8)
