Very sad news indeed, but I'm grateful to the team for sending out the news - I've been away from the forum for a few weeks.

Christopher, you will be greatly missed, you were the source of so much help and information to so many of us. You will live on in the hearts and memories of Rootschatters and in the results of the research they couldn't have done without you.

I hope your links will stay as a lasting memorial, to help even more people in the future. It's a legacy to be proud of.

As the late Dave Allen used to say:

'Goodnight, and may your god go with you'

We shall all miss this gentle Irishman who went out of his way to be helpful to others.

Taid, your picture is lovely! Let's raise a glass of Guinness to his memory - Sláinte, Christopher!
Rest in peace.

Gill

I was deeply shocked to hear of Christopher's sudden death.   He was such a kind, helpful man and a real gentleman.  He will be sadly missed on RC but we will never forget him and his gorgeous green hat.   Requiescat in Pace, Christopher.

Thanks Gill, but don't think Christopher would be impressed!
one of his first replies to one of my posts was about
one of my pictures stretching his screen.
mods feel free to reduce it if its too big.

Celtic Damsel kindly let me know the dreadfully sad news about Christopher.

He was a stalwart friend to many here on Rootschat and so kind in helping others. His help and advice will be sadly missed
