james and elizabeth hare, winterton
« on: Sunday 01 November 09 17:22 GMT (UK) »
Can anyone help. Trying to find the parents of Annie Mary Hare (Hair). From her birth we know they were called James and Hare and ELizabeth. james was a blacksmith and elizabeth was born about1856 in winterton, lincolnshire.

but were cant find them on any census, except elizabeth in 1891 when she had remarried to henry shaw (james had died by then)

are we just looking for them wrong? can n e one do any better?

Have you got a date of birth for Annie Mary?

Helen, I think this is the family in 1881.  The name is listed as AYRE

RG11 / 3286 / 7 / 7
Park Street, Winterton

James Ayre / head / 27 / Groom
Elizabeth / wife / 27
Ada / dau / 7
Harry / son / 6
Hannah / 4
Septimus / son / 2

All born Winterton, Lincs

Is it possible that Ayre is the correct name?  Do you know Elizabeth's maiden name?

You will find them in 1881 as James and Elizabeth AYRE

Perhaps Annie appears as Hannah.

We now find
Marriages Sep 1874
AYRE    James        Glanford B.    7a   1113
GREEN    Elizabeth         Glanford B.    7a   1113

I can see Elizabeth GREEN aged 4 in 1861, dau of Charles and Ann

Oops, too late!  ::)
Today I broke my personal record for most consecutive days alive.
