MACDONALD/MACDONELL BRICKWALL
« on: Monday 09 November 09 04:36 GMT (UK) »
I thought I would have another bash at my brickwall.
Ronald MACDONALD/MACDONELL (possibly of the Tulloch branch) no birth marriage or deth info, married Christian/Christina CAMERON born 17 Mar 1788 Appin, died 11 Jan 1861 Clear Springs Big Bush, Lot 44 Prince Edward Island, This little gem came from her obit.
THE EXAMINER, MONDAY, JANUARY 28, 1861
DEATH: At Big Bush, Lot 44, on Friday, the 11th inst., aged 72 years, Christina, the beloved wife of Capt. R. McDonald of Tulloch, and daughter of Cameron of Glennevis, Inverness Shire, Scotland. The deceased will be long and deservedly remembered for the many amiable qualities which endeared her to a large circle of friends and acquaintances, who mourn her departure from a scene so long illustrated by her charity and hospitality.

I have no idea who their children were or when and where Ronald died. I'm desperate for info. I believe they were Catholic
Any help  would be much appreciated.
Regards
Andrea

I haven't found anything for your MacDonald/MacDonell's.  You most likely have seen this site, but in case you haven't:
http://www.peipioneercemetery.com/obituaries.html?start=27
It lists other McDonald's; perhaps one might be related to Capt. R.?

Andrea,  here's a pic' of Kilchoirille's Church (St Cyril) at Achluachrach near Tulloch, might be worthwhile checking for burial records or monuments.
The gradual replacement of these tacksmen families by estate factors led, in many cases, to their emigration, some encouraging their tenants to leave with them. Eviction to make way for sheep generally faced those who stayed.
