census- public houses
« on: Monday 09 November 09 12:52 GMT (UK) »
Hello

Can anyone tell me if public houses were included in the census count and would that count included anyone who happened to be out having a drink.

All dwellings would be included so a pub would be listed if there were residents (e.g. the landlord and his family/guests).

The census form specifically asks the only those staying overnight should be included in the return - so drinkers would only be included if there was a "lock-in" ;)
