Robertsons of Clackmannan circa 1860
« on: Tuesday 10 November 09 04:27 GMT (UK) »
I am researching the family of my great great grandmother, Margaret Robertson.  She was the daughter of George Robertson and Jane Fife, married at Alloa 17 Sep 1849.  The DOB's of the siblings were:

MaryAnne b. Jul1849   Hmmm, wonder if she went to the wedding!
John b.1852
Margaret b.1854
Jean b.1856
Helen b. 1858
Thomas b.1860
Isabella   b.1862
Elizabeth b.1865

Margaret moved to Canada in 1912 with her Gilmour family, and went back to visit relatives in Scotland in 1922, two years before her death.  It would be great to find descendants of her siblings!
Thanks
Tom

Mary        8mths

1861 Alloa
George    31   ploughman
Jane         31
John           9
Margaret     7
Jane             5

can't find 1881 at moment. no sign of thomas 1871 but Mary Ann disappears between 1851/61 too

Hi Diddymiller
Thanks for your work on the census!  I know that Jane (the wife of George) died in 1880.  Looks like I have some work to do to find the remnants of the family in the 1881 census!
