***Completed***Elizabeth Lister Wallace - death
« on: Tuesday 10 November 09 16:52 GMT (UK) »
trying to trace the death of my great aunt Elizabeth Wallace. we know she was born in Dysart in 1909 and died at a young age (my mum thinks 12, an aunt thinks a bit younger). cannot find any death on Scotland's People that even vaguely looks like her death. I'm toying with the idea that she might have died outside Scotland but i've no evidence of that at all and cant really think why she would be out of the country.

her father worked as a gardner for the Haig family of whisky fame in Markinch.

nothing on the IGI site.

any help gratefully received.

thanks very much. that is her. parents name is right, dads occupation.

i was so focused on her being older that i was putting in the wrong age range etc. we thought 8-12. that will be news that she was only 2. my mum is adamant that gran had said she was 12.

case closed! ;D

Hello Andrew, my mother noticed your entries regarding the Sunter side of your family. Having read through your posts, we can confirm that we are related to you. You mention that Andrew Alexander Sunter's parents were Christopher M. Sunter and Robina Thompson. They are my father's great grandparents; their daughter Margaret Sunter would be a sister of Andrew Alexander. She married Archibald McNicol from Strachur [Loch Fyne] and their daughter Robina Thompson McNicol was my father's mother.
