George Hounsell

I am trying to locate a burial record for the above but come up with an immediate problem in not being able to locate on google map the place name I have.

George Hounsell a stonemason and methodist minister died on 3 March 1906 in Houtoupiko, New Zealand - not my source, but from another family tree

Can anyone help with the location of Houtoupiko

HOUNSELL - George - Gisborne - Clergyman - 1906

[The "Gisborne" bit, might be of help in finding this place ?]

Have just checked the Gisborne Cemeteries database, but alas, he's not there.   Will keep  trying.

Have found his burial place ... at Makaraka (Gisborne).

HOUNSELL - George

Died :   3 March 1906    -   aged 67 years


Plot Details :   Makaraka MKC 937

[Incidentally, I didn't come up with anything at all for that placename "Houtoupiko" ?    Seems it doesn't exist ?   :D
The nearest I got was "Horopiko" and "Houpoto" ... both quite a distance from Gisborne (perhaps though, places George may have visited) ? ]
