Nils Sonfrid Palme

Hi All,

Nils Sonfrid Palme (Or Nelson Palme) born 1884 Malmo. Sweden arrived USA 1906. (According to 1920 census info)
Eva C Alverson (or Alberson) born 1881 Helensborg Sweden arrived in USA 1906. (According to1920 census info)

Can anyone find an immigration of them together or separately  ?? I don't know if they were married or not when they arrived.

I cannot find either on the 1910 census but found them on 1920 San Diego  and 1930 Los Angeles.

Nils' declaration of intention for naturalization says that he immigrated from Liverpool on the Ivernia and arrived at Boston on 10 May 1906.

Would have liked to have found that record just to see if Eva was with him but can't seem to trace him from Liverpool to Boston in that year.

Looks like there could be spelling variations on this.

Looking at the 1920 and 1930 census again - Particularly the 1930 census - I wonder if Nils had been married before.  It looks like married 29 years for him and 26 for her.
This could be the answer to the gap in birth dates for the children. First 2 1907 and 1911 - then a gap to 1915 - 1916 - 1921.

I think what it means is he was age 24 and she was age 26 when they were married.   Which would put their marriage year at about 1906, the same year they emigrated.
