Owen Kiernan/Bridget McGovram?/Sally Kiernan
« on: Sunday 15 November 09 15:56 GMT (UK) »
Hello everyone,

I am searching for any information on “Owen Kiernan/Keernan” and his wife
Bridget McGovram and their daughter named “Sally Kiernan/Keernan”.

Husband: Owen Kiernan
Wife: Bridget McGovram* (McGauran)
Daughter: Sally Kiernan

Sally was married on October 17, 1825 in Montreal, Quebec and on her wedding certificate it mentions that her father is deceased and that the family was from Co. Cavan, Ireland.

I would appreciate any information on this family.

* I have a copy of Sally’s wedding certificate and have been unable to decipher her mother’s maiden name.  The handwriting is florid and I’d be willing to send it to anyone who might want to look at it with a fresh pair of eyes.

The “Keernan” spelling can be found on Sally’s wedding certificate.  Since the document is written in French I wonder if it was incorrectly spelled.

Many thanks for your help!  Best of luck with your genealogical research!

Take care and keep smiling!

Oops it is!  I’ve gotten back to my Kiernan roots since I haven’t been able to find anything.  Please delete my post.  I’m a little too eager to find this family.  LOL!
