Family of Henry Connop Edwards (1845-1902) Leominster & Bromyard
« on: Monday 16 November 09 22:30 GMT (UK) »
My grandfather was the youngest of 10 children of the marriage of Henry Connop and Elizabeth Selina West.  Haven't been able to find much about them after 1901.  My grandfather, Albert, emigrated to USA about 1907.

Children: Dora 1874-, George Henry 1875-, Laura 1877-, Alice 1879-, Frank 1881-, Rose 1882-, Ernest 1884-, Harold 1884-, and Albert 1885-1954.

Anyone researching this family?
Regards,
BAE

Hi BAE,

I'm not researching this family, but have just had a quick look for you.  I'm not sure what you already have, so forgive me if this duplicates anything.

I suspect that Dora married Harry Wainwright Badham in 1898 (Mar qtr Bromyard 6a 705); on the 1911 census (looking at the free index) they appear to have 3 children: Dorothy (aged 11), Donald Frank (aged 7) and Ian (aged 4)

Donald and Ian were heretofore unknown--thanks for the additional information.  My research ended with the 1901 census, so I did have the husband and first child.

Thanks for the information.

I'm glad I could give you info you didn't have!  I think Rose Edwards married Tom Parker Cook in 1909 (Mar qtr) Bromyard 6a 717

Do you mean Harold--there are no Donald's in the family that I am aware of.

I have a picture of Rose with three of her children--one of which I know is Geoff.  The other are unknown.

There is a Geoffrey Cook with his wife Mabel on a 1953 passenger list, giving their intended UK address as Llan View, Bromyard.  It looks as if they were coming from Canada, via New York, so I wonder if they emigrated as well.

Possible other children of Rose:
Frederick R Cook (Dec qtr 1912)
Henry L Cook (Jun qtr 1914)
Mary E Cook (Jun qtr 1915)
